Cortex enables the delivery of up to date and periodical usage and billing reports
to your customers and application vendors. Based on Microsoft SQL Reporting Services,
the Cortex reporting system is easy to customise and comes with a number of standard
out-of-the-box reports to support standard provisioned services.
Configuration of Reports
Configuration of report formats and their intended audience can be completed using
the simple Report Management feature.
Render types
Control the format of each report (e.g. PDF, XLS, HTML) allowing optimisation for
specific purposes.
Report parameters
Cortex will retrieve the required report parameters from the report server. These
can be defaulted through the interface
Assign reports to roles
Each report can be assigned to a Cortex role (Service Provider, Reseller, Customer
or User). This allows reports to be targeted to the correct people and simplifies
the delegation of reports to users
Publish changes
Any new or amended reports can be pushed out directly to users already provisioned
with the report service.
Publish your own reports
As Cortex will identify any reports published on the report server you can use Cortex
to publish your own Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services reports to your customers.
Standard Cortex Reports
Cortex delivers a standard suite of reports that will allow you to effortlessly
report on your licence usage to vendors (e.g. Microsoft SPLA).
- General Billing and Service specific reports available.
- Ability to drill down from Top Level to Customer Level, supporting analysis of report
data.
- A range of Reseller Reports available, providing resellers with efficient mechanism
to view their usage.
Delegation of Reports to Customers
Reporting can be provisioned to your customers in a similar way to any other Cortex
hosted service, allowing them to delegate their own reports to their users.
- Customers can enable users to view reports.
- Each report can be delivered in a number of formats, as specified in the render
types for the report.
